Village Links Golf Professional Emeritus Ed Posh

The Ed Posh Scholarship Fund is a private organization established by Village Links golfers to honor Ed Posh while helping deserving students pursue their education. Ed Posh was the Village Links' first Head Golf Professional. He retired after the 1995 golf season.

The Scholarship Shootout is the program's primary fund raising event. The Shootout is an 18-hole double shotgun start, followed by a gala dinner party. The Shootout is held on the third Friday of July.

Donations can be sent to the Ed Posh / Village Links Scholarship Fund, Inc., 485 Winchell Way, Glen Ellyn, Illinois, 60137. The Ed Posh / Village Links Scholarship Fund, Inc. is a Not For Profit Corporation registered in the State of Illinois. Donations are tax deductible as allowed by Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

An Ed Posh Scholarship provides $2,500 in tutition assistance and can be renewed for up to four years, giving each scholarship a potential value of $10,000. Through 2007, the Fund has provided $302,000 in tuition assistance to forty-five local students.

Scholarships are awarded to students from the Village Links community who have demonstrated scholastic aptitude and achievement, activities, character and need. Scholarship Applications can be obtained at the Village Links clubhouse or downloaded from the internet at www.EdPoshScholarship.com. Completed applications are due March 15.
