Congratulations to Dan Hardy, who shot a tournament record eight under par 64 to win the 41st Glen Ellyn Open in August. The previous tournament record, a 65 scored by Gary Pinns in 1977, stood for thirty years.

2007 Glen Ellyn Open Champion Dan Hardy

Alison Bassetto was the Women’s Glen Ellyn Open Champion with an 81. 11 handicap Steve Petterec won Men’s Low Net Field with a net 61. Cheryl Troxel used her 21 handicap to win Women’s Low Net Field with a net 70. Congratulations to all of our 2007 Champions.

Eric Lonergan won the 2007 Village Links Junior Golf Championship with a 27-hole score of 117. Eric posted a 1-under par 35 on the 9-hole course to seal his victory.

Harold Pritchard won the 2007 Senior Championship with an 81.

Becky and Dave Roscich shot a combined gross score of 160 to win the 2007 Husband & Wife Championship. Becky shot a two-under par 70 on her ball.

We gain an extra week of Daylight Savings this Fall, as we don’t change back to Central Standard Time until Sunday November 4!

Kudos to Gene Springborn for shooting his age at the Village Links earlier this year. Gene shot a one over par 73. Congratulations Gene!

The final day to play the 18-hole course in 2007 will be Veterans Day Monday November 12. The 9-hole course remains open through Sunday December 2. After December 2, the 9-hole course is open on temporary tees and greens all winter.
