The Village Links of Glen Ellyn

FORMAT: Links Cup Matches .  The Village Links Cup Matches are Ryder Cup style matches played between the Village Links Golf Professionals and Village Links Amateurs.  The Links Cup Matches started in 1999 as a 36-hole two day event.  Since then the Links Cup has expanded to 54 holes in two days. The amateur team is composed of the low 6 qualifiers from the Links Cup Qualifying, the Glen Ellyn Open champion and the Glen Ellyn Open champions' captains' pick.  All contestants will play from the BLACK tees.

DATES: 

• 18 Hole Qualifying - Saturday, September 12, 2009
• 54 Hole Links Cup Matches - Saturday, September 26 (36 holes) & Sunday, September 27 (18 holes)

FEES: $25.00 event fee plus applicable green fee for the qualifying.  There are no fees for the Links Cup Matches.

The Village Links Professionals have won 5 times and the Village Links Amateurs have won 4 times in the 9 year history of the event.
