Over 60 Golf League FORMAT: Point Quota. Individuals will first calculate a quota. To calculate your quota subtract your course handicap from 18. Individual quota may not be less than zero. Players will play from the white tees. SCORING: Using the scoring system below, players who score higher than their quota will win.
Upon completion of your round, total up your accumulated points to see if you beat your quota. Prize money will be awarded to all individuals who exceed their quota. The amount of prize money is determined by dividing the total purse by the total number of points over quota. For example, 100 people enter the event at $1.00 each for a total purse equal to $100.00. Ten people out of the total field exceed their quota by a combined number of 20 points. The prize money per point equals $5.00 ($100 / 20 points). If one of the ten winners exceeded his quota by 4 points, then that person would win $20.00 in Pro Shop credit. Players shall note that the score you calculate from is a gross score and not a net score. Your handicap determines your quota, not how you keep score. Players are required to calculate and record their scores on the official scorecard. Players must turn in their signed scorecards to the Golf Shop within 15 minutes of finishing play.
