U.S. Junior Amateur Qualifying Monday June 16, 2008 36-Hole Results Ryan Grassell of Chesterton, Indiana shot a four over par 148 to take medalist honors in a US Junior Amateur Qualifying at the Village Links of Glen Ellyn. Theodore Lederhausen of Hinsdale, Illinois also qualified for the US Junior Amateur, posting a 36-hole score of 74-75 149. Lederhausen defeated Alexander Burge of Bloomington, Illinois in a playoff. Forty-eight players entered the 36-hole qualifying, which was open to boys are 17 and younger. They competed for two places in the US Junior Amateur. The course played 7072 yards, par 72. The US Junior Amateur will be played at Shoal Creek, Shoal Creek, Alabama July 21-26, 2008. The Village Links of Glen Ellyn has hosted over 35 USGA and PGA Tour Qualifyings. This is the first time that the Village Links has hosted a qualifying for the US Junior Amateur.
