2018 Monarch Migration

We are midway through the Monarch Butterfly fall migration. Golfers at the Village Links of Glen Ellyn can lift their eyes to the sky from early September to mid-October and see Monarchs making their slow flight to their overwintering grounds in central Mexico.
Some Monarchs will travel up to 100 miles per day on their 2,500 mile journey. The golf course provides a great resting stop for the Monarchs as we provide a variety of fall nectar sources for the butterflies to refuel.
