Fall 2018 Update
Our fall turf aeration is underway. Many people ask what aeration is and what our process is. We aerify all playing surfaces each fall to open up channels in the turf for water movement, provide plants access to nutrients and to allow natural gases in the soil profile to escape and oxygen to reach the plants roots.
Fairways on both the 18 and 9 hole courses will be spiked using 3/8” diameter solid tines. The impact to playability is very small. Most players won't even notice the tiny holes made during spiking. Fairway spiking will be completed during the month of September. Tees will be core aerated using 1/2” diameter hollow tines. During this process, players may encounter a few tees undergoing the aeration process but you will always have a clean area to hit from.
