Timeline
A brief history of the Master Planning process to date.
General Manager Jeff Vesevick, Director of Golf Noel Allen, and Golf Course Superintendent Andrew Cross have lunch with Greg Martin of Martin Design Golf to discuss Greg creating a new Master Plan to address weaknesses and deficiencies on the Golf Course.
Greg presents to the Recreation Commission on the value of creating a Master Plan, especially with regards to the “cost of doing nothing”.
Contract between The Village Links and Martin Design Golf to begin the Master Plan Concept phase is signed.
First meeting of pricipals to begin outlining the Master Plan Concept by identifying Village Links’ needs and project goals.
As part of the 1st Iteration of the Master Plan, Greg delivers a Preliminary Draft Report. More site visits are planned to begin fleshing out project goals into action items.
The 1st Iteration Draft Concept Review is delivered. Village Links staff provides feedback to Greg to hone the design.
2nd Iteration of Master Plan is delivered.
Greg meets with Village Links staff to review the 2nd Iteration of the Master Plan. Consensus is reached with regard to the requested changes.
Discussions are held regarding holding meetings to present the plan to interested members of the public.
The Village Links holds two public meetings discussing the Master Plan, including the reasons for the project and the proposed changes. Greg presents the plan and takes questions from the audience. Feedback was solicited from the general public.
Greg presents the Concept Verification to the Recreation Commission.
Contract is signed with Martin Design Golf to begin Concept Verification phase of development.
A number of meetings and updates are held to develop a final Concept Verification.
Final Concept Verification is presented to the Recreation Commission.
