    Aeration Details

Fall Aeration Notice

Monday, October 6 – Wednesday, October 8 Thursday, October 9

The Village Links will be conducting our annual Fall Aeration during this period. The process involves aerating the greens by creating small holes, filling them with sand, and smoothing the surfaces. While this will result in slightly bumpy playing conditions for a few days, it marks the seasonal transition from regular play into the off-season. Aeration will be phased so that no temporary greens are used during play.

Monday, October 6

Our maintenance team will be aerating holes #4 through #12 on the 18-hole course. Play will be routed over 18 non-aerated holes, following the original 1967 layout:

  • Tee off on Hole #1 of the 9-hole course and complete all 9 holes.

  • Continue from #9 of the 9-hole course directly to #1 of the 18-hole course.

  • Play through Hole #3, then skip to Hole #13 and finish the back nine as normal.

Tuesday, October 7 Wednesday, October 8th

Note: Due to rain on Monday night into Tuesday morning, aeration was pushed one day.

On this day, aeration shifts to holes #1–3 and #13–18 on the 18-hole course. Play will be routed as follows:

  • Tee off on Hole #1 of the 9-hole course and play through Hole #6.

  • Move to the 18-hole course and play holes #4 through #12.

  • After #12, return to the 9-hole course to finish with holes #7 through #9.

Wednesday, October 8

The full 18-hole course will reopen with all greens aerated. The 9-hole course will be closed for the day.

Thursday, October 9

Note: The maintenance crew will be aerating the 9 hole course this day due to the rain on Tuesday, so players may encounter some temporary greens during their round.

Both the 18-hole and 9-hole courses will be open for play on fully aerated greens.

    The Village Links Junior Lesson Program offers a choice of Half Day Junior Golf Camps and All Day Junior Golf Camps. Half Day and All Day Junior Golf Camps are single day packages for boys and girls ages 8 & Up. We recommend that juniors with little or no experience start in Half Day Junior Golf Camps. All Day Junior Golf Camps and Half Day Junior Golf Camps are limited to the first 12 juniors to register.

  • Summer Junior League

    Our summer junior golf league is designed to bring a “Little League” atmosphere to the game of golf. With groups of boys and girls, age 8 to 16, the league provides a structured environment for young golfers to compete and have fun! This is a great way to get – and keep – kids involved in the game!

    Registration will begin on March 1st and run until April 15th. There will be space for 72 players. As in previous years, any players registered over the limit may be accepted as substitute players not assigned to any team.

  • Adult Group Lessons

    Evening Group Lessons for Adult Beginners are offered in 3 concentrated 60-minute sessions. The lessons cover the basic concepts of the game of golf. Students will be taught the fundamentals of full shots, chipping, putting, and sand shots. They will be taught how to practice these shots on their own. Each class will be limited to 6 students and all classes will be conducted by the Village Links Golf Professional staff. The cost is $89 for the three lesson series.
